Dr. Alireza ShahkaramicXrkfSztSo
Alireza Shahkarami is an assistant professor of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering (PNGE) at Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania where he started developing a brand new PNGE program in 2014. He earned his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from West Virginia University.
He has a B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from the Sharif University of Technology. Along with his dissertation entitled, Assisted History Matching Using Pattern Recognition Technology, Alireza has written several peer-reviewed journal articles. His research mainly concentrates on the application of artificial intelligence and data mining (AI&DM) techniques to address conventional and unconventional problems in petroleum engineering.
Alireza is an ABET Program Evaluator for the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). He is also an active member of SPE. Alireza is proficient in English, Farsi, and Kurdish, and is familiar with Spanish and Arabic.
