Vida is a Storage Field Engineer in the Storage Risk Management Organization of SoCalGas. Vida’s main responsibility is DOGGR, EIA and PHMSA compliance reporting, and utilizing her past experience with data driven analytics to drive process improvement, further analyze and trend UGS data and contribute to the Well Health Dashboard.
Vida has nine years of broad experience in oil and gas reservoir engineering and data driven analytics. Prior to her joining SoCalGas, she worked as a senior consultant at Advanced Resources International, Inc. and research associate at West Virginia University. Throughout her career Vida has developed multiple applications using machine learning and data driven modeling serving different purposes including: predicting storage capacity and CO2 plume area of review (AOR) in sequestration projects, predicting the phase saturation in the reservoir and fluid production from wells in EOR projects, and estimating the spill rates and quantifying the associated uncertainties during the Macondo blowout .
Vida has a B.Sc in petroleum engineering from the Petroleum University of Technology, and she has received her M.Sc and Ph.D. in Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering from West Virginia University.
